摘要
Positron emission tomography–magnetic resonance (PET-MR) technology combines two of the most versatile noninvasive quantitative tools for molecular and functional imaging. Over the past decade, there has been significant technical advancement enabling the realization and deployment of simultaneous PET-MR systems and subsequent extensive experience in neuroimaging, oncological imaging, and multiple other clinical and investigational applications in several academic centers throughout the world. In this chapter, we discuss the synergy between the two modalities, technical considerations, strengths, and limitations specific to PET-MR in instrumentation, image reconstruction (including attenuation and motion correction), workflow, and diagnostic applications.
