Sulfidic environments worldwide are often dominated by sulfur-oxidizing, carbon-fixing Campylobacteria . Environmental factors associated with this group’s dominance are now understood, but far less is known about the ecology and physiology of members of subgroups of chemoautotrophic Campylobacteria .
