A K-band Dual-polarized Stepped Horn Filtenna

This paper proposes a K-band dual-polarized stepped horn filtenna for the spaceborne applications. By introducing the filtering structure of T-type and Π-type units into the redundant space of the antenna feeder, the antenna provides an additional filtering response with little insertion loss. The simulation results show that the proposed antenna not only exhibits good radiation performance in a wide operation band (18∼23 GHz), but also achieves the realized gain suppression of 55∼88.1 dB in the stopband (25.5~30.5 GHz).
