Autonomic dysfunction in Parkinson's disease: Results from the Faroese Parkinson's disease cohort

•The prevelance of autonomic dysfunction is higher in patients with Parkinsońs Disease compared to a control group.•The prevalence of gastrointestinal and urinary symptoms are especially high.•The progression of autonomic dysfunction is associated with the progression of motor dysfunction.•These findings are in alignment with similar studies and our current understanding of PD pathology.
