摘要
•Patients are now commonly diagnosed with prostate cancer via MRI-based diagnostic approaches.•MRI was associated with a slight reduction in positive surgical margin (PSMs), more bilateral nerve-sparing, and favorable biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy.•A meta-analysis demonstrated a 5% reduction in PSMs with MRI but high variability for impact on nerve-sparing.
