Social Media Innovations in Digital Society

Innovation permeates all areas of society. In the area of communication, innovation allows people to connect from different regions and continents through social media. Considering this context, many technological solutions have been proposed in recent years, including applications that favor communicability. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the innovations of social media in digital society. For this, a systematic and integrative review will be carried out in the Scopus database, in order to answer the following questions: 1) What is social media? 2) What does digital society mean? 3) What are the innovations of social media in digital society? The results converge towards digital transformation resulting from the use of social media in digital society.
