摘要
•This is the first systematic review on n-3 PUFA supplementation and the impact on telomeres.•n-3 PUFA supplementation had no statistically significant effect on telomere length.•n-3 PUFA supplementation showed a tendency to reduce telomere attrition.•Different activity of the telomerase enzyme was observed in the studies.
