An Electrowetting-Based Pre-Treatment System of Extracellular Vesicles For Rna Analysis

摘要
This research presents an automated digital microfluidic (DMF) system for on-chip pre-treatment for extracellular vesicle (EV)-derived RNA analysis based on electrowetting-on-dielectric (EWOD) principle, which integrates affinity-based EV enrichment and EV-RNA release on a DMF platform. The process efficiency of the system reaches 70% and the pre-treated samples shows great compatibility in subsequent in-vitro reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assays, allowing for efficient and standardized EV pre-treatment process for further EV-derived RNA detection.
