摘要
We introduce an electro-optic interface from low-loss thin-film lithium niobate for on-chip THz emission and detection. The technology has the ability to custom-tailor the in-device properties to generate terahertz (THz) radiation on-demand by optical rectification in on-chip waveguides, as well as to reach the standard quantum limit of electrical field detection.
