Atomically dispersed catalysts for small molecule electrooxidation in direct liquid fuel cells

The recent advances of atomically dispersed catalysts (ADCs) as anode catalysts for direct liquid fuel cells (DLFCs) were summarized, the structure-property relation for unveiling the underlying mechanisms of ADCs for DLFCs was emphasized. The current challenges, research directions, and future outlooks towards the practical application of DLFCs with ADCs were pointed out.
