Genesis of the Maoling gold deposit in the Liaodong Peninsula: Constraints from a combined fluid inclusion, C-H-O-S-Pb-He-Ar isotopic and geochronological studies

•The Maoling gold deposit classified as an intrusion-related gold deposit.•Fluid boiling may be the main mechanism for the deposit formation.•The ore-forming fluids were of magmatic origin, dominantly derived from crustal sources.•The Early Jurassic gold deposit is related to the subducting Paleo-Pacific Plate beneath Eurasia.
