In-plane shear behavior of masonry panels strengthened with ultra-high ductile concrete (UHDC)

•Mechanical properties of ultra-high ductile concrete were explored.•Masonry panes were strengthened by UHDC and HPFL layer.•Diagonal compression tests were conducted on strengthened masonry panels.•The shear behaviors and ductility of un- and strengthened panels were presented.•Experimental value and theoretical value of the strengthened panels were compared.
