摘要

•In this paper, the multi segment and multi concentration (MSMC) Tm: YAG crystal is designed for the first time.•Temperature distribution, light field, and thermal stress of MSMC Tm: YAG crystal are simulated and analyzed.•The results show that the thermal effect of Tm: YAG crystal can be effectively alleviated by the multi segment and multi concentration structure.
