IoT based Industry Automated Sheet Metal Feeder

The basic idea is to accurately feed a strip of sheet metal into a press machine where the blanking process is done. The process of feeding is done with the help of a stepper motor coupled with a LM guide and a rack and pinion. For this proposed design, the press machine cuts 8 components per single ship of sheet metal. High precision and linear motion is required for these type of applications, hence rack and pinion assembly was used. The timing control is achieved by programming the stepper motor and the press machine using a suitable micro-controller.
