摘要
•CoNi2S4 nanoflakes are synthesized onto the nickel wire by hydrothermal method and vulcanization.•The obtained wire electrode is a new approach to develop non-enzymatic glucose sensors.•The wire electrode has excellent sensitivity, lower detection limit and wider linear range.•A few possible reasons for the rise of electrochemical activity have been summarized in the paper.
