Vertically pillared V2CTx/Ti3C2Tx flexible films for high-performance supercapacitors

•Flexible MXene composite film with delaminated Ti3C2Tx as the matrix and multilayered V2CTx as the spacer is synthesized.•The self-restacking of Ti3C2Tx nanosheets gets prominent remission because of the insertion of V2CTx nanoparticles.•Pillared structure provides additional channels for ion transportation and improves the electrolyte ion accessibility.•The V2CTx/Ti3C2Tx composite film shows attractive application prospect as supercapacitor electrode.
