Boron-doped cobalt-iron bimetal phosphides nanosheets for enhanced oxygen evolution

•B-doped Co-Fe phosphides nanosheets were prepared by hydrothermal boronation with the subsequent phosphorization.•The synergistic effect of B/P and Co/Fe is conducive to tuning the electronic configuration of the active centers.•The optimal catalyst exhibits superior OER performance with long-term durability in 1.0 M KOH.
