A Physarum-Inspired Approach for Influence Maximization

The influence maximization problem (IM) is an open problem in graph theory, and also is identified as a NP-hard, so there has been a lot of developments in order to solve or approximate a solution. In this paper, we present an approach for pointing to a solution of the IM problem, by leveraging k-shell decomposition analysis, and combining it with a Physarum-inspired model. Additionally, this procedure was tested on five data-sets both synthetic and real, showing encouraging results.
