ECM-inspired peptide dendrimer microgels with human MSCs encapsulation for systemic lupus erythematosus treatment

•The ECM-inspired microgels exhibited minimal toxicity in vivo and in vitro.•Dendrimer endowed the microgels with monodisperse diameter and enhanced stiffness.•Selective permeability and immune-isolation potential could be precisely achieved by microfluidics approach.•The MSCs encapsulated microgels could significantly enhance the immunomodulatory function.
