Laser absorption spectroscopy with the use of quantum cascade lasers for the detection of ammonia in the long-wave infrared range

摘要
The article presents the results of research on the use of Polish quantum cascade lasers for the detection of ammonia by laser absorption spectroscopy. The parameters of these lasers determined the use of two configurations of experimental systems: with an optical cavity and with intra-pulse tuning. The obtained results confirmed that the radiation emitted by them, at a wavelength of approx. 9.12 mu m, enables the detection of ammonia and a detection limit of 50 ppb.
