Engineering the electronic structure of atomically dispersed Co sites into Pt shell via Au-induced tensile strain boosts the kinetically sluggish electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction and improves the durability of Pt-based electrocatalyst in alkaline electrolyte.
