•NEMD simulations investigate phonon transport in Thue–Morse and Double-Period superlattices.•Coherent phonon thermal transport is suppressed in graphene/h-BN superlattices.•Coherent transport suppression is due to phonon localization caused by increase in SL period.•A general expression for conductivity as a function generation and supercell size is presented.
