Electric Field Assisted Improving the Quality and Magnetic Properties of Electrodeposited FeCo Films

We reported an electric field-assisted deposition process for the improvement of the quality of FeCo film. The films were fabricated by electrodeposition with a conventional three-electrode configuration. During the deposition, an auxiliary electric field was applied parallel to the film surface. The results showed that the particle homogeneity and the quality of the film could be controlled by the applied electric field. The electric field affected the transfer and redistribution of electrostatic charges during growth. The corresponding magnetic properties of the film were also tuned with the change of applied electric field. This work provided a new path to improve the homogeneity and the quality of the electrodeposited film.
