Synthesis and Third-Order Nonlinear Optical Properties of Metal-Organic Zeolites Built from Ti-4(embonate)(6) Tetrahedra

We present a novel synthetic method that enables the construction of a new type of metal-organic zeolite (MOZ) material. More specifically, when the Ti4L6 (L = embonate) tetrahedra are employed to assemble with mononuclear barium or polynuclear barium cluster units, three 3D frameworks (PTC-303 to PTC-305) have been generated. Among them, PTC-305 exhibits a fascinating zeolite BCT topology net, and its photocurrent and third-order nonlinear-optical properties have been investigated.
