摘要

•Crystal structures of three bisbenzimidazoles 1–3 benzene haven been analyzed.•Bisbenzimidazoles 1–3 can bind tightly to DNA in the minor groove.•Interaction between bisbenzimidazoles and DNA is enthalpically driven by H-bonds.•Bisbenzimidazoles exhibit potential anti-proliferative activity.
