摘要

•Zn-MnO/C anode was prepared via Zn evaporation from ZnMn2O4/polydopamine.•The transformation process was detected by multiple techniques.•Hexagonal ZnMn2O4 nanoplates were found in the cycled electrode material.•The mechanism was revealed by ex situ XRD and CV tests for post-cycled electrode.
