Microbial Community Structure Study of Hemp Fiber Anaerobic Continuous Stream Biological Degumming System

Hemp fibers had many excellent characteristics and performance because of their unique chemical composition and structure. In order to achieve a clean and ecological hemp degumming, a novel anaerobic biological hemp fiber continuous stream degumming system was introduced. The water quality indicators and the microbial community composition and structure of the degumming system were analyzed. The hemp degumming experiment showed that the system ran stable and efficient and started within 72 h HRT. When operating stably, the pH was about 7.00, the gum residue after hemp degumming was about 18 %. The hemp appearance and mechanical performance were good after degumming. The microbial community richness, diversity and evenness in the degumming system were analyzed to ensure an efficient and stable operation of the system.
