As primary care providers, there is a responsibility for obstetricians and gynecologists to discuss preventive services, including the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and HIV. Our objective was to determine how often OB/GYN providers discuss pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) as well as determine baseline referral and prescriptive patterns for patients who test positive for STIs and/or newly diagnosed HIV.
