摘要
Anti-Brownian traps enable extended study of single particles in free solution by closed-loop feedback forces that directly counteract Brownian motion monitored by fluorescence. The longer observation times of individual particles allow for detailed characterization of photophysical properties, dynamics, and infrequent events. We have recently invented the Interferometric Scattering Anti-Brownian ELectrokinetic (ISABEL) trap, which uses scattered light in place of fluorescence to detect the particle position for feedback.
