摘要
Racial disparities exist in cardiovascular healthcare, including inequalities in access, uptake, and outcomes of genetic services. Minority patients are less likely to be treated with evidence-based interventions that are higher cost regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. Cardiology appointment durations are shorter for Black patients compared to appointments for white patients who have similar cardiovascular risk factors and symptoms. Minority populations are less likely to be offered clinical genetic testing by a physician or genetic counselor.
