摘要

We conclude that macrophage-specific VCAM-1 augments mitochondrial biogenesis and DNA oxidation via Cmpk2. Oxidized mitochondrial DNA in plaque macrophages increases inflammation via Sting, resulting in exacerbation of atherosclerosis.
