摘要

•Electrocatalytic packed bed-membrane reactor was designed for nitrate removal.•High single-pass removal of nitrate (100%) and selectivity to N2 (94.25%) were achieved.•Majority of nitrate was reduced in membrane pores and the residue nitrate was reduce in packed bed.
