Progress and the Main Achievements of The Regional Geology of China Preface

In 2008, a new project concerning the recompilation of The Regional Geology of China (RGC) was assigned by the Chinese Geological Survey (CGS) and undertaken by the Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (CAGS). Li Tingdong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), is the chief leader and chief scientist of the project. The last time The Regional Geology of China was compiled was in the 1980s (Cheng, 1994).
