摘要

•Investigation of three groups of persistent organic pollutants during sludge pyrolysis and hydrothermal carbonization was studied.•99% removal of PCBs, PAHs, and PPCP was reached by thermochemical processes.•The content of PCBs was completely removed thought pyrolysis process.
