Advantages of magnetic seeds compared with wires in the excision of non-palpable breast cancer. A single institution experience.

Background: In recent years, due to screening programs, and the increasing use of neoadjuvant therapy, there has been an increment in breast surgery of non-palpable lesions. Traditionally, wires have been used for guiding non-palpable breast lesions resection. Recently, several devices have been commercialized as alternatives to the classical wires, such as the magnetic seeds (Magseed®).
