Synthesis of functionalized fluoroalkyl pyrimidines and pyrazoles from fluoroalkyl enones

•The direct and convenient one-pot synthesis of series fluorinated 6-polyhalogen-substituted pyrimidines and pyrazoles.•The synthesis is based on cyclization of cyclic enones with isothioureas, amidine and hydrazines.•The chemical evaluation of synthesized pyrazoles was investigated.•The new route to bis fluoroalkyl substituted pyrazoles was demonstrated by fluorination of hydroxymethylene group at 5 position of 3 fluoroalkyl pyrazoles.
