Barocaloric and magnetocaloric effects in isostructurally alloyed (MnCoGe)-(CuCoSn) systems

摘要
•The volume expansion rate (ΔV/V) is as high as 3.9% in the (MnCoGe)0.96-(CuCoSn)0.04 alloy.•The transition temperature shift with pressure reaches up to −11.8 K∙kbar−1.•At an ultra-low pressure of 0.3 kbar, the isothermal entropy change of 20 J∙kg−1K−1 can be obtained.•The refrigeration capacity of current (MnCoGe)0.96-(CuCoSn)0.04 alloy at 0.9 kbar is 316 J∙kg−1.•Pressure is easier to drive the magnetic-structure transformation than magnetic field in the MnCoGe system.
