PtSn supported on hierarchical mesoporous SAPO-11: Synthesis, characterization and catalytic evaluation in n-heptane hydroisomerization

•Traditional microporous SAPO-11 was used as seed to get hierarchical mesoporous SAPO-11 molecular via seeded crystallization approach.•Characterizations including HR-TEM and N2-adsorption suggested that there was a significant difference between the microporous SAPO-11 and mesoporous SAPO-11.•In order to investigate the effect of developed hierarchical pore network on the catalytic activity toward n-heptane hydroisomerization, PtSn(2&4) bimetals were loaded by conventional incipient wetness impregnation technique.•PtSn(2)/meso-SAPO-11 catalyst showed higher isomer product selectivity at low conversion than that obtained over PtSn(2)/micro-SAPO-11 catalyst.
