摘要
-The Bariatric Frailty Score (BFS) uses comorbidities more related to frailty in the bariatric population.-The BFS is a useful and simple tool that can stratify the risk of postoperative adverse outcomes.-Patients with BFS > 5 have a high probability of overall postoperative complications that may need a modified ERAS protocol.-This study validates the cumulative deficit theory in the bariatric field demonstrating that the sum of independent comorbidities exponentially increases the likelihood of postoperative adverse outcomes.
