Comparing retinal changes measured by optical coherence tomography in patients with schizophrenia and their siblings with healthy controls: Are retinal findings potential endophenotype candidates?

•Neuropathological changes have been demonstrated at various stages of schizophrenia, even in the unaffected siblings.•OCT can provide an easy and non-invasive method for monitoring the retinal reflections of these neuropathological changes.•Further studies are needed to determine whether GCL+IPL could be an endophenotype candidate.
