•We present high fidelity simulations of planar jet (Re=18000) with heated co-flows•We have performed the combined LES/DNS numerical approach for air (Pr=0.71), HE-Xe gas mixture (Pr=0.2), Lead-Bismuth Eutectic (Pr=0.025), and sodium (Pr=0.006)•The long-term time-averaged profiles of the first- and second-order moments presented•Characteristic mechanical and thermal time-scale profiles at various locations extracted•The Prandtl number effects on the power spectra of temperature analyzed
