Optimization of an ultrasound-assisted extraction method for the determination of parabens and bisphenol homologues in human saliva by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

•An UHPLC-MS/MS for the analysis of EDCs in human saliva is proposed.•For extraction of analytes MAE and UAE were compared and UAE was chosen.•MetPB and EthPB were the predominant EDCs detected in human samples.•The method has been validated and the analytical quality parameters described.•Human saliva can be used as a biomarker for the human exposure to these EDCs.
