•Rolled tungsten sheets doped with potassium content larger than common.•Thermal stability characterized for temperatures up to 1400 °C.•Recovery kinetics analyzed quantitatively from isochronal annealing.•Extended recovery occurring at 1300 °C for long times confirmed by EBSD.•Recovery kinetic parameters compatible with that of rolled plates of pure tungsten.
