The synergy of heavy-ion irradiation and lithium-lead corrosion on deuterium permeation behavior of ceramic coating

•Deuterium permeation under Li-Pb exposure were performed for irradiated ZrO2 coating.•Damaged ZrO2 coating showed lower deuterium permeation flux than unirradiated one.•Irradiation affected deuterium diffusion, and corrosion affected deuterium solution.•Irradiation and corrosion would synergistically affect permeation at low temperatures.
