摘要
•Nonlinear optical response of tantalum disulfide and it’s applications in ultrafast optics are exploited in our work.•Modulation depth of tantalum disulfide based saturable absorber are as high as 8.5%.•This is the first study of polarization characteristics of a tantalum disulfide based fiber laser.•Both polarization domain wall solitons and polarization locked vector solitons are successfully realized in our work.
