摘要

•VCSEL arrays with configurable beam emissions can be realized by engineering their phase distribution.•Accurate far-field intensity distribution model of the array can be established based on Fraunhofer diffraction theory.•The shape of the beam can be manipulated by adjusting the ratio of the horizontal dimension to vertical dimension of the arrays.
