Robust monazite U-Pb and molybdenite Re-Os ages reveal the magmatic and metallogenic history of a highly evolved granitic system in the Xianghualing deposit, South China

•Robust monazites LA–ICPMS U–Pb dating obtained the highest precision in the highly evolved system.•LA–ICPMS analyses for high-U zircons is highly hampered by lead loss and significant matrix effect.•The Laiziling Sn-polymetallic mineralization concentrated in a short period rather than multi-stages.
