摘要

•Gold-standard sleep stage labels may be unavailable with clinical data.•Semi-unsupervised methods are capable of investigating data for novel/unseen patterns.•We propose a semi-unsupervised method for automatic sleep staging using EEG.•Stage-wise discriminative features were used for step-wise binary clustering.•The method found a novel EEG pattern in REM sleep behavior disorder subjects.
