摘要

•Autophagy levels in specific tumor types, especially hepatocellular carcinoma, were related to poor survival of patients.•PD1 or PD-L1 expressed by tumor cells could promote autophagy for malignant growth.•PD1 and PD-L1 both could interact with ATG13 to increase autophagy in tumor cells.
