The Predictive and Prognostic Value of Precystectomy Serum Gamma-Glutamyltransferase Levels in Patients With Invasive Bladder Cancer

•Elevated preoperative serum gamma-glutamyltransferase is associated with aggressive histopathologic features of invasive bladder cancer.•Elevated preoperative serum gamma-glutamyltransferase is independently associated with increased all-cause mortality after radical cystectomy.•Serum gamma-glutamyltransferase levels may be a useful for improved prognostication in invasive bladder cancer.
